I’ve always loved cars, I guess because they take us places. Getting in the car meant going to see friends and family, or sometimes it meant an exciting adventure.
As a kid I poured hours into games like Gran Turismo and Need For Speed; of course, it was a highly competitive experience when it came to sharing the idiot box. Luckily someone intelligent invented split screen, and there was an old-school rule where the winner would get to play the next round against someone else. Usually this meant the older, more experienced players would play for longer.
Don’t Be A Road Hog
Learning to share isn’t easy, but that’s something I learned growing up. Winning can be fun, but all it really is about for me is sharing the road. Everyone can cross the finish line if everyone plays fair, but there were times when an older cousin or sibling would want to keep playing while the younger ones just watched. Usually an angry parent would break up the argument by chasing everyone outside to play, and inevitably argue over something else.
Anyway, I’m reviewing Forza Motorsport (2023) and if it isn’t obvious that I’m having a good time with it, then I don’t know what to write anymore.
I find Forza Motorsport to be a well-polished and relaxing game to play. I feel like a kid in a candy store; any racing enthusiast is likely to have a great time playing it.
I have been having a good time with career mode. Each new race series presents an opportunity to learn about and try a different car. I feel like a kid in a candy store; but there is the option to use one you already own if it meets the requirements.
Instead of rambling on about the game, I’ll just say go for it. Get the Forza Motorsport standard edition from Amazon by following the link. I personally tried the game on GamePass, but I may pick up a copy myself at some point. I feel like it’s one I’ll come back to from time to time.
